SEE NOTES ON IRIS GLADYS TUCKER
Iris spent about a month in Southampton having daily treatment for breast cancer.
Valerie and David travelled with her whilst Ted stayed in Jersey earning a living, to help pay for her treatment.
Val was about 8 years old, and I was about 12 months, Val used to walk me round Southampton and the Parks etc all day, whilst mum was in hospital having treatment, then about 4.00pm each day we met mum and went back to a guest house.

Possibly used to fly back at week ends ?? but Val not sure about this.
When mum came back to Jersey it was several months before she died, and Val used to look after me before and after school.

When mum died , dad could not look after me , so I went to Aunt Roseille Romeril (Godmother)
but as she had a heart complaint and found it too much to care for me, I then went to Mr Harold George Bree, and his wife Winifred Theresa Munn, who Fostered me, and looked after me till I left home to get married.

ALL ABOVE INFO FROM VAL 17/2/96

Dad used to visit me each Sunday afternoon, cycling up to 36 Columbus street on his bycycle. and occasionally I used to go to 9 Roseville street to see him and Val etc on a Sunday etc.

Joyce Stone, Doris Tucker (nee Gallichan), Mrs Herival and Mrs Baudain were mums Bridesmaids - source A.Kath 24/2/96

Mum worked in Bank as Clerk / Typist. She was a very good shorthand typist, and Val has several certificates for her shorthand etc of over 100 w.p.m. 24/2/96
